Mortgage experts at money.co.uk analysed local authority areas in England to discover how much it costs to live in the most beautiful areas.

Of course, beauty is subjective but factors including national parks, street cleanliness, and average house prices were attributed to beauty in the study.

North Norfolk, East Anglia

The location ranked the most beautiful place to live in England was North Norfolk, East Anglia.

The area is known for its national parks and areas of outstanding natural beauty including seaside towns and beaches. 

Anyone hoping to purchase a property in this location can expect to pay around £321,191 for a home. The location also ranked as the most expensive place to live in the top three. 

Torridge, Devon

Torridge, Devon also scored 9.21 out of 10, putting it in joint first place with North Norfolk. The average house price will cost around £305,517 and is also the third lowest in the top 10 list.

This part of Devon is renowned for coastal cliffs, waterfalls, and steep valleys.

West Devon

West Devon also made it to the top three with a total score of 9.09 out of 10. That means all locations in the top three are located in the South.

West Devon scores a 3.56 for national parks and areas of outstanding national beauty. While North Norfolk had the highest average combined size of parks per 1000m (997,39

Compared to the other locations in the top three house prices are slightly more expensive as these total around £307,034. 

Overall, Sevenoaks and Wealden had the most expensive house prices in the top 10 list. Buyers can expect to pay between £411,673 and £526,757.
